I parked at Shady Point and climbed up 181. It was good to be at the lookout after so many miles of pedaling up hill. Overcast and hazy but some very nice views.
This first steep drop on the 2nd half of Raspberry, was leafy and moist enough to be much harder than the drought conditions I have become accustomed to. I finally managed to roll over it on my 4th try. I made the big dip and up the other side but stepped off at the next steep drop off - too leafy moist and rocky for me going solo today.

The views/fall colors from Ripshin were exceptional in spite of not being able to see Grandfather Mtn.
