I needed be at Freedom High to pick up Starla at 11:00 so I got to the creek at 8:45 am. Great run at a great level and I jogged my shuttle. It rained most of the day but I had already planned to visit my parents "down east" and my daughter at college. The folks in western NC had some great paddling over the weekend and I had a great visit with family.

I didnt bring my camera for the Upper Creek run but we didnt have time for pictures anyway. It was a great medium level and we hiked up for as much of the fun stuff as daylight would allow. The next day Gaston and I decided to run a section of NF Catawba that we have been talking about for several years. It had plenty of water and was great to get on something new. We used every bit of daylight again. Great times:
