3/7/14 Snow then 3/8 we had a high temp close to 70 degrees. Had to get the road bike out for an afternoon/evening ride from the house.
This was Friday morning.
The spill way. I remember standing there during the flood of '04 and watching that huge dirt wall being pummeled by water
I found a new place for pics and a snack.
Flying Wild Turkeys
We started at Turkey Pen and once we got on Squirrel Gap, we stayed on it for most of the ride. I think we did a 13 or 14 mile in and out. There was plenty of climbing, technical spots and a high level of fun factor. Thanks to the boys for showing me an awesome new route. I had started a MTB ride at Turkey Pen years ago with Sprinkle and Nick but that ride had stayed close to the creek and involved several creek crossings. This ride crossed the creek on the hanging bridge and then had a big climb through some big woods. Cant wait to get back for more!
