1/26/14 Snow hike on top of Gingercake Mtn and then a hike down to lower Upper Creek Falls

I got an early start

 The view was great. Below was the parking lot at Upper Creek. I decided to keep going up 181 and check out the gorge views then come back to Upper Creek to see some ice in the creek.

 We fast tracked it to the overlooks and were rewarded with some spectacular morning views.

This is one of the lesser know off camber trails to a sweet overlook

1/20/14 Big Gorge hike with Johny Blue

We met up at the Linville access of Lake James at 8:30, dropped a car at the Blue Blaze trail head and drove up to start the hike at the Spence Ridge Trail head. It was a big day and we got in about 13 miles of single track. The only place our feet hit pavement was the parking lot at the base of Table Rock. We saw 2 groups of people: 3 guys camping on top of Little Table Rock Mountain and a couple hiking across the top of Shortoff Mountain. The temps were perfect and the views incredible. I cant wait to hit this hike up again.
