12/20/15 Warrior Creek, My Favorite "Purpose Built" MTB Trails.

I started the morning off on the right foot.
The trail was in great condition and I only saw 3 people while on the trail.

I was unsuccessful in finding the Headwaters route. Too many leaves down. Next time I will spend more time and ride the extra 4 miles.

12/04 Friday After-work Wilson Creek, 12/05 Two Runs on the Watagua at 350ish, and 12/06 Watagua at 300ish; A Great Paddling Weekend, Up to a Point...

The level at Wilson Creek Friday evening was +3". I was lucky to meet up with Kevin Schaffer for an after-work run. Great level and great lines!

Saturday I met up with Johnny Calhoun at Take-Out Dave's house and we knocked out 2 runs. The level was perfect and the temperatures were cool but very tolerable with sunny skies. On our second run Dave took out for photos at Stateline Falls and we ran into Layla, Will Selle, Dave Simpson, Andre, and crew. They headed on down the river while we hung out at the falls for a while. Glad Dave was able to get some pics of their crew running the falls.

Sunday I met up with Kevin Schaffer and Michael Barbre for a run at 300 cfs, bridge gage was 6". We had a great run but I did tweak my shoulder in one of the river left rapids at the bottom section of Edge of the World. The root cause of the shoulder tweak was a brace/lean onto a rock for stability while going thru a slot. It has been 6 days since tweaking it and the 2 days after my shoulder was pretty sore and achy. It has started feeling better every day and this morning I did some physical therapy with my therabands so I am on the mend again. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it is bright.

Kevin on his first run of Watagua and the falls. He smoothed everything. Friday was the first time he had run Wilson Creek. He is a great paddler and it was cool to get to show him some lines. I look forward to paddling with him again after my shoulder heals up.
