Thursday: Green Narrows Lite & Dupont

It was a good day at the Green and a good day at Dupont. I paddled with Kyle, Josh, and Tim. Big thanks to Keith Sprinkle for the spot on directions to Dupont from the put-in parking lot.
Onto Dupont. The slickrock is great.
Parked at Corn Mill Shoals, rode Burnt Mtn loop (ran into Drew, his brother and friend), Little River Trail to Cedar Rock Trail (one of my favorites), Big Rock Trail (another favorite), Longside Trail, Pine Tree Trail, Rock Quarry Rd, trail to the top of the Rock Quarry cliffs, Buck Ridge Rd, Micajah Trail to Rock Quarry then back to Wilkie Trail, up the road to Twixt trail, to Longside - climbed up and back down to the parking area. The temperatures were perfect.
My bike looks little in front of that cliff:

Big Ride Wednesday: Curtis Creek / Heartbreak / Kitsuma

Big ride. I started at Curtis Creek and climbed up to the parkway. I took a couple of fun photo stops along the way. From the parkway, onto Heartbreak ridge and a few more nice photo ops. I actually met 2 guys on Heartbreak - I rarely see anyone out there. They had parked at Mill Creek and climbed up Star Gap and most of Heartbreak. I dropped down Heartbreak and took a right at Star Gap, rode up Mill Creek Rd then rode Kitsuma. Rode past the Geyser, back up Star Gap and met the guys again, down Jarrets Creek Rd (last mile or so in the dark) to Curtis Creek. Big ride. The miniture horses between the Old Fort picnic area and the geyser. Amos' Epics

The drought has not hurt Clara Anns' roses or the mountain bike trail conditions.
I met up with Steven at mile marker 17 and proceeded to run a shuttle up to Gingercake. We rode Raspberry first and it was in excellent shape. Onto Ripshin Ridge - also in perfect shape.
Steven on Ripshin Ridge.
We finished up with Little Fork and climbed back up to 181 where I had left the van.
After I dropped Steven back at his van and I was heading back down 181, I couldnt help myself. I had to stop and ride Rock & Roll and Barkhouse.
More Rock & Roll trail rock formations. After Barkhouse and back up to Hwy 181. It had grown pretty overcast.
