Mountain Bike Camping Trip on Chestnut Mtn
Rode in Saturday night (8/8/09) and enjoyed a smokin' fire:
Sunday morning (8/9/09) get up to ride the Big O.
Pedal up Craig Creek Rd to the car at the Pass for lunch and dinner preparation. Back up to the campsite.
Good night sleep on Chestnut Mtn then climb up to the top Monday morning (8/10/09), and back down to the pass with the pack.

The "MTB In" campsite aka "The Spot":
The climb up and bomb down Chestnut Mtn:
A real mountain bike ride, blood, broken chain, trail work, etc.
Hazy days, you can just barely see Grandfather Mtn:
Parked at the bottom of Lower Wilson Ridge (aka The Spike), climb Craig Creek Rd to the pass, climbed up Chestnut Mtn taking the right across from the top of Bee Hive, climbed over the top and down the other side dropping out at the top of Raider Camp, to the Upper South Harper Falls overlook, down to Harper Creek, dry foot Xing then broken chain right before the Yellow Buck crossing. Good to see Enoch and Charlotte crowd. Out and back on the Spike and home to contemplate the ride in at dusk and camping at "The Spot".
