12/20/14 Bike Ride Starting from Wilson Creek

I parked at the bottom of Boatbuster/Thunderhole and started with a "There and Back" on Lower Wilson Ridge, it was in great shape. Then the long climb up Chestnut Mtn for an even bigger "In and Out" then finally The Big O where I lost my back brakes. I ended up having to walk down the last of the steep downhill section but still an awesome ride and great temperature.
Table Rock and Hawksbill were both in the clouds

The top of Chestnut Mtn
The Big O is a great trail

12/19/14 First Day of Christmas Vacation: Kitsuma Ride

12-13-14 26th Annual Christmas Jam with Boyd

Love Canyon Rangers (Love Cannon and some Steep Canyon Rangers members) kicked it off and played mixed acoustic 80s and 90s cover tunes on the side of the stage between sets just like last year.

The Revivalists were the fist "big Stage" act and set the stage for a rocking night. It was a pretty guitar heavy Jam. Next up was Hard Working Americans with Kevin Kinney from Drivin' and Cryin' sitting in for one D&C cover tune then a great set from Jason Isbell. Government Mule played a tribute to Neil Young with Jackie Greene really bringing it with the NY cover tunes. He played GTR, Banjo, Organ,  and displayed some incredible vocals... Also joining the party was Audley Freed (who I've seen at the Christmas Jams in years past and Caleb Johnson from American Idol.
Last we saw before we left was Billy & the Kids. They feature the drummer from The Dead.

12/7/14 Epic Linville Hike

I started at 9:40 and it was in the high 30s. I made it back to the van around 4:45 and it was back in the upper 30s. It had warmed up during the day making it a perfect day to do this great hike. This one always puts a hurtin' on me...

My knee was yelling at me by this point. Love the panorama of the Gorge, Hawksbill, TR and the Chimneys all in on big pic!

Dan and Lucas were at the Rock Jock trail-head when I got there. We headed back down the road to Pinchin where the cars were parked.
