5/10/13 Wilson Creek with the Chris, BillyJoe and Mitch. I managed to get in 3 runs and still pick up Starla at school.

5/9/13: After Work Wilson Creek run at +6" with Michael from Valdese.

5/5/13 Watagua River Dawn Patrol with Mike Huggins

Mike was ok with meeting early and getting a few runs in before everything got too big. It had rained most of the night and all morning during my drive up to the high country and during our runs. The level was still good to go but raised about 3 or 4 inches between the first and second run. I think the level peaked at some insane level like around 9,000 cfs the next day.

Notice how much more water is going over the rock above Huggy this run vs. the pic from the first run!
Checked Wilson Creek on my way home but passed. It was on the way to getting really big.

4/30/13 End the month with a MTB ride on Kitsuma with Johnny Calhoun

4/26 & 4/27/13: MerleFest Weekend. Mountain Biking, camping, music and rain. Good times were had by all!

Our campsite. Craig Creek side of the pass and we only saw about 3 cars go by all weekend!
Thanks to Pierre from the Paris of the Piedmont, aka Chapel Hill, for the MerleFest tickets in return for some sweet Mountain Biking guide service, Glen Alpine Epic Adventure style. Both the MTBing and the music were off the hook.

Yes it is heavily eroded and yes it is fun as hell!
