Early morning Wilson Creek put-in. I told you I still use my kayak.
I paddled down a little way and decided to take out, hike back to the car, stash the boat, drive back to the take out and wait on someone to paddle with. It was well after 9:00 before anyone showed. I realized later that all the homies had gone to the Watagua.
The gage read +4" when I first arrived but felt higher when I put on which helped me make the decision to take off and await some company. I've run it higher solo but I was feeling a little out of practice so I used the time waiting to stretch. I met some guys from Charlotte who I did the first run and a half with.
There is actually a guy in the froth in the photo above ^.

Triple Drop:Very cool moto shuttle:RB came paddling up at my 1 and a half run point and he and I took off and did another 1 and a half run before he had to head to work. We passed over 30 people on the river in the run and a half we did together. After I set another shuttle, I did a last Soul-O run.

My catalyst to heading out so early in the morn was these rain gages:
