Tuesday: finally an after work ride

Finally an afterwork ride and I forget my camera. G and I met up with Gaston and Tim and we did Raspberry ride. Unfortunately Tim had some technical difficulties and he and Gaston finished after that. G talked me into doing one more smaller loop. The weather was good, temps cooled down nicely and we finished right about dusk. It was a good evening on the trails.

Green River Narrows & Hwy 221 MTB

It was a good day on the river. I need to start getting back to the Green more often. Thanks for letting me paddle with you guys: Ashley, Adam, Coop, Daniel, Will, Will, Jeff, other dudes? and of course Steven and Jared.
After running the Green I had planned to ride either Dupont or Bent Creek but it started pouring in Hendersonville and continued all the way to Asheville. I called Clare Ann and it was still dry in Glen Alpine so I headed onto Marion where it was also still dry when I arrived. I only saw a light shower during my ride, not even wet enough to unpack my rain jacket. I rode all the "normal" stuff.
Then crossed 221 and checked out some "new" stuff. I did a small loop and a very scenic "there and back". Some sweet trails:

Then I T-boned into this and it was time to turn around and get some down hill. Enjoy the scenery going back down.It was a good day on the river and the trails.

Charlotte Whitewater Park Saturday

I finally made it to the Whitewater theme park and dropped my $25. It was a hot day in the city and the water was warm. Lots of rafts and people. I thought I saw Big Tom Wilson at the top of the climbing wall but I was wrong.

Here is how Noel was sleeping when Clara Ann and I checked on her saturday morning. Notice the phone. She was really sleeping just like this - with her arm out and phone against the ear. That is too funny!On to the whitewater park. It was a hot day and the water was very warm. The surfin' was good.
